I've said previously that the US is itching to invade Iran.
But...
An interesting article in Counterpunch by Uri Avnery puts up a convincing argrument for why the US and/or Israel would be mad to attack Iran. However, Uri does not factor-in the possibility that the US and/or Israel are indeed stark raving mad.

Three years ago, I had this to say...
Those bastards will want Iran's oil in order to deny supply to China and India. Desperate maniacs do crazy things... And they DO have the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world... Be afraid... VERY afraid...
This will only stop when enough people shout "YANKEE GO HOME!!!" every time they meet a Yank.
(Greensmile's got special exemption, of course. :-)
I might add also, that what with the looming depression, the American military industrial complex will have figured out that a world war is the only way to make a buck. Either way you cut it, the Yanks are going to war. Of course they'll demonise their quarries first... SOP...
