Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

Julia, you're stuffed, babe.

Back in 2005, I thought she was the bee's knees.

But now that we see the way her government, including Gillard personally, has dealt with the Commonwealth Ombudsman, Allan Asher's concerns, as far as I'm concerned, she's chopped liver.

May she rot in hell.

Grrrrr...

Not happy, Julia & Chris...

Go get 'em, Bob & Sarah...

Hang 'em high !!!

(Update: It's 3:00am and I had to get up to add that my "chopped liver" comment was purely figurative and not at all to be taken literally. I mean the PM no physical harm in any way. OK, ASIO ??? F*cking paranoid idiots!!!)

Do bees have knees? Where are they?

Mr Myste, that is a Google question. Do not bother this blogger with such things please. :-)

@John Myste: since bee legs have a femur and a tibia, it's quite reasonable to think of the joint between them as a knee. In the front pair of legs the knee points forwards, similar to a human's, but in the other two pairs it faces rearwards. Or was your question rhetorical?

@Gerry: I think even ASIO would understand that the "chopped liver" bit was allegorical, but your exhortation to "Hang 'em high!" is a bit scary. Best to be safe: you'd better ring ASIO and explain what you meant :-)

I had some interactions with Mr AA back in the early to mid 1990s. I found this week's doings stirred some memories.

I'm allowed to be paranoid about ASIO, guys. Nay, I argue it is the only sane way to be. ;-)

@lemmiwinks: On the one hand you say the two major parties are stuffed, and then on the other you pine for the demise of the only other political farce currently on the crime scene. I'm not sure what you want. But then you go on to almost suggest a media which is controlled.

@Phil: You need to say more if we are to glean some meaning from your comment.

Anyway, back to the subject: What's wrong with an ombudsman getting a sypathetic polititican to ask him Dorothy Dixers at Senate hearings if he is being ignored by the government?

Good on him, and Sarah Hansen-Young. No harm was done, and stuff the government was trying to keep hushed up was aired. Surely that is exactly what we expect ombudsmen (and women) to do?
