The counter shown below displays the number of Israeli military personnel refusing to serve in the Occupied Territories. I applaud their integrity and their strength of character. To me they are heroes of peace and humanity.

J.Assange will be cryptomaniacal when the septics get him from bloody Sweden. Don't get me started on the damn C non-I Agency.
and don't get me started on the dumb dumb people who think that J.Assange hacked CIA puters, when in a nutshell it's this:
BradManning took part in demonstrations re the army and gay policy (Don't Ask, Don't tell)
so they demoted him. In retaliation he published on WikiLeaks, all the documents he had access to as part of his job.
no hack, no 'secrets' no JAssange involvement, other than JA put up the website for people to post things on.
Cryptomania is not a word. Nor is it a recognised type of mania. Cryptomania is: a)a children's book series; b)a computer game, partic. on Facebook, based on the children's book; c)a TV show based on the children's book, or d)a blog about secrecy.
There is a word for that class of words that don't actually exist but should; unfortunately, I can't remember it. Cryptomania would appear to be a member of that class.
And, in reference to the link you posted - interesting read, thank you. However, it seems to me that the CIA has a dead simple policy which even the dumbest can understand: everything they do, without exception, is secret. That includes their Open Source studies.
Update: Dr. Richelson said that CIA Information and Privacy Coordinator Susan Viscuso called him yesterday to inform him that the request would be processed after all. The earlier response, she said, was "an administrative error."
Annie, if you want to really get enraged about the CIA, read William Blum's book Killing Hope.
BTW William Blum also does a periodical online thing called The Anti-Empire Report. It's always worth reading.
